The school romance
between the "dangerous" boy and the clumsy model is nearing its
conclusion. Norio Sakurai, author of the acclaimed manga The
Dangers in My Heart (Boku no Kokoro no Yabai Yatsu), revealed
in the epilogue of volume 13, published this Thursday by Akita Shoten,
that the series will end with the release of its 14th volume.
The work,
popularly known as Bokuyaba, has had a successful publishing run
since its inception in the Weekly Shounen Champion in March
2018, later moving to Manga Cross. To date, the franchise has
accumulated more than 7 million copies in circulation. In
addition, the universe of the series continues to grow with the spin-off Love
Comedy ga Hajimaranai, written by Haika Nanasaka, whose first
volume also went on sale this Thursday.
While the manga
prepares its farewell, the animated adaptation produced by Shin-Ei
Animation is still in force. After two successful seasons aired
between 2023 and 2024 (licensed by Sentai Filmworks on HIDIVE), Japanese
fans are waiting for the release of the compilation film The Dangers in
My Heart: The Movie, which will hit theaters on February 13 with
additional unreleased footage.
