A game that has
lasted more than a decade is about to end. The GA Fes 2026 event
was the setting chosen to announce that the acclaimed light novel series Ryuuou
no Oshigoto! (The Ryuo's Work is Never Done!) will come to an
end with the publication of its 21st volume.
The date marked on
the calendar for this outcome is next July 17. The final volume
will carry a subtitle that suggests a definitive closure for the story of its
protagonists: "Shirayukihime to Ryuuou no Kekkon" (Snow White and
the Marriage of the Dragon King). This puts an end to a nearly 11-year
serialization by author Shirow Shiratori.
The work,
illustrated by Shirabi, began its journey under the GA
Bunko label in September 2015. Throughout its publication, it has
amassed 2.5 million copies in circulation. Its success led to
a manga adaptation and a 12-episode television anime produced by Project
No.9 in 2018.
