The horse girl
franchise has reaffirmed its status as an unrivaled commercial powerhouse in
Japan. According to the final ranking of popularity and physical sales
collected from Oricon and other platforms, the Uma
Musume Cinderella Gray anime was crowned the absolute king of Blu-ray and DVD sales
during the year 2025.
With a total
of 37,391 copies sold, the series starring Oguri Cap not
only took the top spot but set an insurmountable barrier for the rest of the
industry. Its closest pursuer barely managed a fraction of its figures, proving
that the combination of an emotional story of self-improvement, epic races and
limited editions is still a winning formula for the franchise.
