Selfishness
takes human form on the big screen. The official X account for the live-action
adaptation of Blue Lock revealed a new trailer and visual on Friday,
confirming that the film will be released in theaters in Japan on August
7. The trailer offers the first moving look at the actual embodiment of the
Z-Team members.
The
production has been revealing a new character each day, culminating in a visual
showing the eyes of the 12 members of the starring team, setting the stage for
this massive announcement.

directed by Yusuke Taki, with a screenplay by Tetsuo Kamata.
The production is in charge of CREDEUS (responsible for the
successful live-action Golden Kamuy) and will be distributed
by TOHO.

About the franchise
Based on
the manga by Muneyuki Kaneshiro and Yusuke Nomura,
the work has been a resounding success, winning the award for Best Shonen Manga
at the 2021 Kodansha Awards. The story has already inspired two seasons of
anime and a third in production that will adapt the "New Hero Wars"
arc. In addition, the franchise features the anime film Episode Nagi,
released in April 2024.
