Goodbye Primogems: Varka and Skirk arrive in the same version to empty your account

It's been 84 years... or at least that's how it feels. From day one of the game, the NPCs of Mondstadt did not stop talking about the legendary Grandmaster who took all the knights and left Jean with all the paperwork. Well, the meme of "Varka went to buy milk and didn't come back" is over. HoYoverse has just confirmed that in the Luna V Version, which lands on February 25, we will finally be able to throw our protogems for Varka. And hold on, because the guy comes to break the meta with a combat style that's pure brutality.

Varka's Kit: Double Greatsword and Elemental Mayhem

What has left the community with its mouth open the most is that Varka is not just any Anemo character. Its gameplay introduces a dual-wielding mechanic of Claymores (yes, two greatswords at once). While his left hand deals pure Anemo damage, his Elemental Skill turns his right-hand weapon into the element of your teammates (Pyro, Hydro, Electro, or Cryo). Basically, it is a blender of elementary reactions with legs. In addition, it has an effect called "Hexerei" that lets you spam charged attacks without spending resistance, ideal for those who hate to see the yellow bar go down.

But Varka doesn't just come to empty our wallets. The first phase of the gachapon will bring him along with a rerun of Flins, while the second half is to have a heart attack: we will have the mysterious Skirk (Tartaglia's teacher) and Escoffier. If you were holding desires, this is the moment of panic. In addition, the "Song of the Welkin Moon" update hits us straight into nostalgia, returning us to Mondstadt for a massive event with the Knights of Favonius where we can get free weapon skins for the Grandmaster.

About Varka and the Knight of Boreas

For those who skip the dialogues (bad there), Varka is the "Cabalero de Boreas" and Razor's father figure/mentor. He is described as the strongest human in Mondstadt, a good-natured but carefree giant who took the elite knights on an expedition years ago. His arrival marks a turning point in the story, as his Legendary Mission involves a crisis with the Wolf King of the North and a "Wild Hunt", suggesting that the lore is going to get dense and dark very quickly.
