About
Rainy Day Serenade
The story
follows Hina, who on rainy days dreams of playing in an unknown
garden with a mysterious boy. One day, she finds that place in reality and
meets Takaaki, who mistakes her for his fiancée, Hinako. After
taking her to what he believes to be his home, Hina meets her own doppelganger
and discovers that she has traveled from modern-day Tokyo to 1907 Japan.
Haruka
Kawachi's manga
was published in Kodansha's Kiss magazine since
2014, ending in November 2025. The 14th and final volume of the compilation
series was released simultaneously with the announcement of the anime.
Kawachi is
also known for Natsuyuki Rendezvous, a work that inspired an anime
in Fuji TV's Noitamina block in 2012. His most recent work, Musashino
Rondo, inspired a live-action series in April 2025.
