The story
is described as an emotional "boy-meets-girl" tale that mixes
elements of romance and mystery in an isolated setting. Although the animation
staff or voice cast have not yet been revealed, the project is one of
Shochiku's strong bets for the fall season.
In parallel
to the announcement of the film, the franchise is expanding its reach with a
manga adaptation made by Haruka Chino, which began serialization
in Tonari no Young Jump magazine in August 2025.
