The anime Killed Again, Mr. Detective? reveals its premiere date and new cast

The mystery of the detective who returns from the dead is about to begin. It has been officially announced that the anime of Killed Again Mr. Detective (Mata Korosarete Shimatta no desu ne, Tantei-sama) will premiere on the TBS network next April. Along with the date confirmation, a new visual teaser and the addition of four key members to the voice cast were revealed.




The new visual captures the melancholic and mysterious essence of the series, showing protagonist Sakuya Outsuki lying lifeless on the lap of his assistant Lilithea, symbolizing the cycle of death and resurrection that defines their relationship.


Killed Again Mr. Detective anime details


The series is directed by Takashi Naoya (Tales of Wedding Rings), with Mio Inoue in charge of the series composition. The character design is the work of Akiko Kumada, while the art direction is led by Kuniaki Nemoto.


New additions to the cast


In addition to the protagonists Rikuya Yasuda (Sakuya) and Shion Wakayama (Lilithea), veteran voices have been confirmed for crucial characters:


  • Yoshino Aoyama as Yuriu Haigamine, a rising young actress.
  • Katsuyuki Konishi as Kaoruta Sozorogi, a veteran detective who has known Sakuya for years.
  • Rie Kugimiya as Shardina Inferishas, one of the notorious criminals known as "The Seven Old Men".
  • Yuki Takada as Belka Zeppelin, assistant to a famous British detective.



About the work


The series is based on the mystery novel published by MF Bunko J, written by teniwoha (well-known producer of Vocaloid) and illustrated by Riichu (The Vexations of a Shut In Vampire Princess). The story follows Sakuya Outsuki, a high school detective with an extraordinary condition: he always comes back to life after being murdered.


Using this rule-breaking ability, Sakuya faces complex and dangerous cases, sacrificing his life repeatedly to discover the truth, always waking up in the lap of his faithful assistant.
