The boat
girls are ready to brighten up our routine again. The official website
confirmed on Friday that the second season of the Azur Lane: Slow
Ahead! (Azur Lane Bisoku Zenshin! 2!) anime will premiere
on Japanese television next July, bringing back its signature short
episode format.
To warm up,
the production committee released a new trailer and a promotional image. The
trailer lets us hear a fragment of this season's main theme, the song
"Shaisuma—!", performed by singer Yui Sakakibara, who
returns to the franchise after her participation in previous installments.

About the franchise
In case you
live under a rock and don't know the saga, this series of shorts adapts
the yonkoma manga (four panels) drawn by Hori,
which in turn is based on the mega popular mobile game created by Manjuu and Yongshi.
While the main anime of 2019 focused more on war and action, Slow
Ahead! gives us a much more relaxed and comical look at the day-to-day
life of the girls at the naval base.
