About the work and its future

The plot is set in the turbulent transition between the Kamakura and Muromachi periods. The protagonist, Hojo Tokiyuki, is a young heir who must flee after the massacre of his family at the hands of Ashikaga Takauji. With the help of Suwa Yorishige and a group of loyalists, Tokiyuki uses his talent for evasion as his greatest weapon to survive and seek revenge.

Although the manga has ended, the franchise is still in force. The anime adaptation produced by CloverWorks, whose first season aired in 2024, has a second season confirmed to premiere on Fuji TV's Noitamina block in July 2026.
