The culture
clash between two opposing school groups will soon hit television. The
production team of the Gals anime Can't Be Kind to Otaku!? (Otaku
ni Yasashii Gal wa inai!?) presented a new promotional video on
Saturday, confirming that the series will premiere on April 8.
The Crunchyroll platform
will stream the series globally. In addition to the date, the trailer revealed
the theme songs: the K-pop group (G)I-DLE will perform the
opening theme song "HIDE AND SEEK," while rock band sun so
girl will be in charge of the ending theme song "Ishō
Nakako."

The series
is produced by TMS Entertainment under the direction of Shin
Mita. The composition of the series falls to Kazuhiko Inukai,
with character designs by Rion Matsuda. Along with the
announcement, new voices were confirmed to join the main cast.

About
the work
The story
follows Takuya Seo, an otaku who sits behind the popular gals of
the class, Ijichi and Amane. Although they belong to different school
"castes," their worlds collide over a borrowed draft, revealing that
Amane might know a lot more about anime than he admits.
The
original manga by Norishiro-chan (script) and Sakana
Uozumi (art) has been published in Coamix's Monthly Comic
Zenon magazine since August 2021.
