The
internal conflict of one of the most powerful clans in magic is about to
explode on the big screen. A new official trailer for The Irregular at
Magic High School film: Yotsuba Succession Arc (Mahouka Koukou no
Rettousei: Yotsuba Keishou-hen) has been revealed, confirming its
theatrical release for May 8, 2026.
Along with
the video, a second key visual showing the confrontation between Tatsuya and Katsushige was
presented under the slogan "Faith and conviction intertwined." In
addition, the production announced the addition of new talent to the voice
cast.

Irregular at Magic High School Movie Details
The feature
film is directed by Jimmy Stone at 8-Bit studio,
with music composed by Taku Iwasaki. The story adapts the
fan-favorite arc of Tsutomu Sato's light novel series, which
has surpassed 25 million copies in circulation.

and promotions
To prepare
the audience, a summary project entitled "The Irregular at Magic
High School in Three Minutes", narrated by Saori Hayami,
has been launched. Videos recap the "Entrance Arc" and the "Nine
Schools Competition Arc" are now available, while the recap of the
"Yokohama Riots Arc" launches this February 14.
About
the plot
Set in the
year 2096, the film focuses on the New Year's gathering known
as Keishunkai, held by the main Yotsuba family. This event will
decide who will be the next leader of the family, a decision that will
set Tatsuya and Miyuki on a path that will
significantly alter their fates and reveal shocking truths about their lineage.
