dealing with a yandere prince obsessed with you takes him to a whole different
level of stress. Over the weekend at the AnimeJapan 2026 event, the first
trailer and a promotional poster for the animated adaptation of The
Final-Boss Prince Is Somehow Obsessed with the Chubby Villainess: Reincarnated
Me (Odebu Akujo ni Tensei shitara, Nazeka Last Boss Oujisama ni
Shuuchaku sareteimasu) were revealed. This first look takes us into this
peculiar romantic comedy where losing weight and fleeing death are just the
warm-up for the protagonist.

Details
The
production committee has placed its trust in Studio Lings to
bring the madness of this isekai to life. In the director's chair we find Naoyuki
Kuzuya, who will have the support of Shusaku Kato as
assistant director to keep the romantic chaos of the plot at bay. To structure
the scripts and ensure that the narrative does not lose its humorous touch, Mitsuki
Hirota has taken over the composition of the series. In addition, the
challenge of transferring the visual charisma of the characters to the small
screen was left in the hands of the duo formed by Fumino Kakihata and Yukiko
Sekita.

Originally
born as a manga written by Kotoko and illustrated by Kaname
Hanamiya, the work began serialization on Japanese digital platforms such
as Mecha Comic and Comico Japan in early 2023, managing to make its way to
physical publication through Kadokawa Shoten. The story puts us in the shoes of
an ordinary girl who, after passing away from an illness, is reincarnated as
Celine, the hateful, selfish and chubby villain of a popular novel, who turns
out to be the older sister of the original heroine.
Fully aware
that her role in the plot is destined to end with her brutal murder at the
hands of the prince of the story, Celine decides to reform her terrible
attitude and her life completely to evade her end. However, her desperate
attempts to survive end up breaking the original script in totally unforeseen
ways, causing the very prince who was supposed to execute her to develop an
intense, cloying and dangerous love obsession with her.
