About
Magic Knight Rayearth
The story
created by the CLAMP collective in the early 90s introduces us
to Hikaru, Umi and Fuu, three high school girls who, during an excursion to
Tokyo Tower, are magically transported to the world of Zephyr.
There they discover that they have been summoned to become the Magic
Warriors, whose mission is to rescue Princess Emeraude from the hands of
the high priest Zagato. Unlike other magical girl titles, this work stands out
for its mixture of dark fantasy, giant mechas and a plot that is not afraid to
break our hearts with unexpected twists.
