Production
Details
Although
there is still no exact premiere date for this new batch of episodes, the
production company did not want to leave fans empty-handed. To warm up engines,
the broadcast of a special television episode was announced that will serve as
a direct bridge to the second season. This episode will premiere on March
29 through the Japanese platforms Fuji on Demand and the FOD channel
on Prime Video, and then make the leap to open television on networks such as
Tokyo MX and Sun TV on March 30.
For the
production of this special, the technical team remains faithful to what was
seen in the 2023 adaptation. The Millepensee studio is once
again taking the reins of animation under the direction of Shin Itagaki.
In addition, Hiromi Kimura returns to her role in character
design, all supported by the planning and production of UNLIMITED PRODUCE by
TMS, ensuring that the visual style and frenetic action remain intact.
About
Isekai by Cheat Skill
For those
who need a refresher, the story follows Yuuya Tenjou, a student who is brutally
bullied at school until he literally stumbles upon a mysterious door that leads
him to another world. True to the isekai genre, there he gets broken abilities
that not only make him a beast in fantasy, but also transform his body and his
status in the real world. The original franchise, written by Miku and
illustrated by Rein Kuwashima, is an absolute commercial success
with over 4 million copies in circulation, spanning light novels, spin-off
manga, and even a global browser game on the G123 platform.
