Breaking
the system from within is the only option when fate condemns you to be a simple
background character. The publisher Kadokawa made it official
on Wednesday that the second season of the popular comedy isekai Trapped
in a Dating Sim: The World of Otome Games is Tough for Mobs (known in
Japan as Otome Game Sekai wa Mob ni Kibishii Sekai Desu) will
premiere on Japanese television during the month of July.
The
announcement was accompanied by the first trailer and a
spectacular promotional image made by character designer Masahiko
Suzuki. This new visual preview confirms the return of the original cast
and anticipates a much greater dose of strategic chaos, palace intrigue, and
absurd situations within this unforgiving virtual world.

The
animation studio ENGI is once again taking the reins of the
project, keeping intact the creative core that made the first installment shine
in 2022. Kazuya Miura takes up the general director chair,
while Kenta Ihara is once again in charge of adapting the work
of author Yomu Mishima in the scripts. The production has the
green light to adapt the material with full creative freedom, considering that
the original light novel concluded its successful publication
with its volume 13 in March 2024.
The
irreverent story follows an ordinary office worker who is reincarnated inside a
matriarchal dating simulator where men are treated as second-class citizens.
Armed exclusively with the memories of his past life and his exhaustive
knowledge of the secret mechanics of the title, Leon decides to use everything
to his advantage to achieve a quiet life in the countryside. However, his
enormous pragmatism and his rejection of the injustices of the system end up
revolutionizing the entire world.
