Being kicked out of your own home for possessing a useless ability is a breeze in the isekai genre, but the story changes drastically when your supposed useless power turns out to be an SSS-ranked internet connection. This Friday, the publisher Square Enix cheered fantasy fans by confirming that the successful light novel series titled The World's Strongest Witch (Sekai Saikyo no Majo, Hajimemashita) will have an anime adaptation for television, scheduling its long-awaited premiere for the October billboard.

To bring to life this peculiar character who goes from absolute despair to absolute empowerment thanks to his compulsive reading of tutorials, the production committee has already chosen his main talent:

  • Azusa Tachibana as Rona Hermit
A talented emerging actress in the industry who takes on this fun and eccentric leading role to consolidate her career in the world of anime dubbing.

To bring to the screen this adventure originally born as a web novel under the pen of author Mochimaru Sakaki, the Bridge and Aisle studios have joined forces. The director's chair is occupied by Joji Furuta, backed by the agile scripts of veteran Shoji Yonemura. For his part, the task of adapting the magical aesthetic falls to Yuki Morimoto, who is in charge of polishing the charming character designs that fans already love thanks to the popular manga published by Kodansha.

The World's Strongest Witch Details

If you're looking for a survival comedy where wit overcomes brute force, this premise will grab you right away. The plot follows Rona Hermit (known as Lorna in some translations), a young woman who is banished to her fate without money or food when she manifests a power that her aristocratic family considers complete garbage. However, when she hits rock bottom, Lorna discovers the true and terrifying potential of her talent called "Internet": the exclusive ability to read strategy guides and online forums about her own world.

With this god-level "trick", our protagonist has access to the most secret routes, the farming of priceless objects and the exact location of the rarest equipment in the kingdom, allowing her to forge the free, opulent and untethered life she always dreamed of. Your only real obstacle will be trying to figure out what the hell is meant by the strange jargon of internet forums, such as the incomprehensible expression "lmfao."
