If you are
one of those who cannot stand the torture of waiting a whole week for a new
episode, the streaming platform ABEMA has a
spectacular surprise for you. To celebrate the early release of all 12 episodes
of Smoking Behind the Supermarket with You (Super no Ura
de, Ya, Tabako or Suu Hanashi), the uncredited versions of the opening and ending have
just been released. This gem of romance will be available in its entirety for
premium users on June 3 (Only for those who live in Japan),
well ahead of the usual Japanese television broadcast that starts until July.
The most
interesting thing about this release is that the musical themes presented are
exclusive to ABEMA's version. The opening video lets us listen to the
electrifying song "Kuzuri Nen", performed by the popular rock
band ZUTOMAYO, while the closing relaxes us with the catchy
rhythm of "NIGHT DANCER" by the artist imase. The
production committee confirmed that these musical sequences will be totally
different from those that will be used in the July television broadcast, making
them a real gift for those who decide to jump in the marathon.
The
talent behind cigarettes and talks
To adapt
this story of life accounts and mature conversations, the Asahi
Production studio assigned the direction to the duo formed by Tadato
Suzuki and Aoi Mori. As for the voices that will bring
these chance encounters to life behind the supermarket, we already have the
main talents confirmed in the recording booth:
- Takuya Sato in a leading role.

Recognized in the industry for playing Riamu Yumemi in The Idolmaster Cinderella Girls franchise.
Synopsis
of Smoking Behind the Supermarket with You
The story
presents us with an unusual romantic comedy focused on the age difference and
the small moments of daily life. It all revolves around Yamada, a supermarket
employee who has a habit of smoking behind the premises after finishing her
shift, and Sasaki, a high school girl who frequently comes to talk to her
during those brief breaks. However, things get complicated and filled with
humor when we discover that Yamada has a secret identity and is posing as a
mysterious older woman named Tayama. Through their relaxed chats and casual
encounters, the series explores how the feelings between the two begin to
slowly develop in the midst of a calm and comforting atmosphere.
