You and I Are Polar Opposites Releases First Trailer for Season Two

If you were just recovering from the overdose of sweetness that the first installment left us at the beginning of the year, get everything ready because the sequel is just around the corner. The official website of the animated adaptation of You and I Are Polar Opposites (known on the Japanese side as Seihantai na Kimi to Boku) has just released a new promotional video. This trailer not only lets us see the funny interactions of our protagonists, but also officially confirms that this second season will arrive on television on July 5.

And to set the mood for this romantic comedy, the production committee took advantage of the trailer to let us listen to a fragment of "Nekojarashi", the opening theme song performed by the singer 7co (Nanako). As a curious fact, this artist is making her great professional debut in the music industry with this catchy song, which was written and composed exclusively for the franchise.

Knowing that the summer season always has brutal competition, director Takakazu Nagatomo and the Lapin Track studio decided not to hold anything back and brought in heavy reinforcements. Tamami Izawa and Sara Sakoe join the project as chief animation directors to polish the visual quality, while Eriko Kimura will take the reins as sound director. With Kocha Agasawa's acclaimed manga already finished on the successful Shonen Jump+ platform (and boasting more than 1.8 million copies sold), the production team has the path completely free to deliver a faithful adaptation that covers the rest of the story.
