The ninja

finally has a date on the calendar. Black Torch has just
released its second trailer confirming its premiere for July 4, 2026,
and the video arrives loaded: it presents the opening and ending of the season,
plus a new promotional image. Prior to its regular debut, there will also be
a world premiere at the Anime Expo event in Los Angeles.
The opening
theme is called "Freeze Me Up" and is performed
by SiM, the Japanese reggae-punk-metal band that has a solid fan
base within the anime community. The ending song "Groooovy" is
performed by I Don't Like Mondays. Both songs can be heard in the
trailer along with scenes that introduce the main characters and the
supernatural action tone of the series.

About
Black Torch
Black
Torch is a
manga by Tsuyoshi Takaki, also known as Heart Gear,
published in Shueisha's Jump Square magazine between December
2016 and August 2018, concluding in five volumes. The story follows Jiro
Azuma, descendant of a long line of shinobi with the ability to communicate
with animals. His life takes a turn when a mysterious stray cat merges with
him, granting him considerable power but dragging him into a secret conflict
between humans and dangerous spirits. The series mixes ninja action with the
folklore of Japanese yokai in a story that, although it concluded in the manga
several years ago, arrives in the anime with the support of a cast and
production team that bet heavily on the material.
