Having Ado do
the theme song for a Blue Lock movie is the kind of choice that makes it all
fall into place right away. The singer who turned "Usseewa" into a
phenomenon and who has been synonymous with unbridled energy for years will be
in charge of the theme "Monster" for the live-action
of the most chaotic football manga of recent years. The second trailer for the
film arrived this Friday along with a new promotional image, confirming the
premiere for August 7, 2026.
The new
trailer builds on the first by showcasing more of the rivalries, training and
intensity of the Blue Lock program, where 300 of Japan's best young footballers
compete to become the ultimate striker. Ado's "Monster" can be heard
in the video, and the tone of the song fits the premise of a story that treats
the ego not as a flaw but as a tool.

About
Blue Lock
Blue
Lock is a
manga by Muneyuki Kaneshiro and illustrations by Yusuke
Nomura published in Kodansha's Weekly Shonen Magazine since
August 2018. With 38 volumes collected until April 2026, the series tells how,
after a disappointing performance by Japan at the World Cup, the federation
launches the Blue Lock program: an extreme system that brings together the 300
best young strikers in the country to forge the best attacker in the world. The
philosophy of the program is as radical as its premise: selfishness is a
virtue, and only those who prioritize their goal instinct over anything else
have a place there. The anime adapted the story in two seasons, the first in
2022 and the second in 2024, and already has a third installment confirmed. The
live-action is the first time that the franchise reaches the cinema in real
image.
