A-1 Pictures, the animation studio under the Aniplex umbrella, reported a positive turn in its financials for the fiscal year ended March 2026. The company posted a bottom-end profit of 91 million yen, reversing the loss of 178 million yen it had recorded in the previous fiscal year.

The results were released through a closure announcement published in Japan's official gazette on June 29. Among the major works associated with this fiscal year are the sequel to Kaguya-sama: Love Is WarFate/strange Fake, the film Uta no Prince-sama TABOO NIGHT XXXX and Kusunoki no Bannin. These projects reflect the studio's continued involvement in both television series and feature films across genres and franchises.

The report does not detail a specific breakdown of revenue sources or the specific factors behind the improvement, but the results confirm that A-1 Pictures returned to positive territory after the previous year's financial challenges, remaining active within Aniplex's production catalog.
