World peace turns out to be abysmal for the
business of villagers selling potions. The Fledgling Demon Lord's
Starter Shop confirmed its anime adaptation with a premiere scheduled
for January 2027, opening its official website on June 25 with
teaser, promotional image, main cast and production team.
The story starts from an ingenious breaking
point: the hero defeats the demon lord, the world achieves peace, and the
young Villager of Beginnerville is left without customers.
Without a threat to fight, no one needs potions or items, and his shop
called The Nest is left empty. Just when it seems that he will
have to close, a mysterious girl appears and everything changes. The teaser and
promotional image offer the first glimpses into that world and its characters.
Author Makoto Morishita also
drew a special illustration to celebrate the announcement.
The Production Team
Direction is in charge of Jun Hira at studio
project No.9, with Keiichiro Ochi supervising the scripts
and Katsuyuki Sato in charge of character design. The music is
composed by Takuro Iga, with music production by Avex
Pictures and sound direction by Noboru Haraguchi.
About The Fledgling Demon Lord's Starter Shop
The Fledgling Demon Lord's Starter Shop
(Sudachi no Maojo) is
a manga by Makoto Morishita published in Kodansha's Monthly
Shonen Magazine since October 2021, with twelve volumes collected.
Morishita is also the author of IM: The Great Priest Imhotep, which
was published between January 2015 and September 2018. The series takes the
usual promise of the demon lord's fantasy defeat and asks what happens to those
who sold equipment for that adventure: an approach that turns the post-heroic
into the starting point of a store-management story with elements of comedy and
romance.
