Being born
into the weakest class of a world of swords and magic is, in theory, a
sentence. Getting to level 999 from that class is another thing entirely. The
Villager of Level 999 has just released its main trailer confirming
its premiere for July 1, and the video reveals the ending of the
season in addition to presenting for the first time the already announced opening.
The ending
is called "HP." and is performed by Yukimura. The
opening "Not a Hero" is in charge of Nakuru
Aitsuki and Itsuki Natsume, whose voices can be heard in
the trailer along with the first scenes of the world of Earthqualia,
where each person is born assigned to a class that defines their life. The
trailer presents the situation of Koji Kagami and his
encounter with Alice, the daughter of the demon lord, which is the
starting point of the entire story.
Along with
the anime, a Blu-ray Box scheduled for October 28 was also
announced, which will include an exclusive novel written by author Koneko
Hoshitsuki herself.

The Villager of Level 999
The
Villager of Level 999 is a light novel by Koneko Hoshitsuki with fuumi illustrations
that was originally serialized in Shosetsuka ni Naro between
July and December 2018. Kadokawa published the first printed volume in May 2016
and the eighth and final volume in January 2019. The manga adaptation, drawn
by Kenichi Iwamoto, has been running in Kadokawa's Comp Ace magazine
since May 2017 and is already in its twenty-first volume. The story takes place
in Earthqualia, a world where each person is born in a
predetermined class. Koji Kagami was born into the
"villager" class, the weakest in the system, but somehow reached
level 999, well above what that class should allow. After meeting Alice,
daughter of the demon lord, by chance, Koji sets out on a path to find a way
for humans and demons to coexist in a world full of conflict and prejudice.
