A god of
misfortune that intimidates at first glance but turns out to be much more
manageable than expected. If that sounds like the perfect premise to mix horror
with comedy, that's because it is. Dara-san of Reiwa released
its second trailer confirming its premiere for July 2, 2026,
revealing the ending of the season and introducing five new cast members who
give another level to the project.
The second
trailer builds on the first by showing more of the dynamic between the Misogiya
brothers and the enigmatic Dara-san, reinforcing the tone of the
series: a mixture of unsettling atmosphere with moments that decompress
everything they have just established. The ending theme is called "Hinatabocchi" and
is performed by REIRIE. On the day of the premiere, the anime
will first present a special version titled "Reiwa no Jidai ni
Daijōbu nano!?" before airing the regular version.

About
Dara-san of Reiwa
Dara-san
of Reiwa (Reiwa no Dara-san) is a manga by Haruomi Tomotsuka that was born in
October 2019 as illustrations shared on the creator's Twitter account, before
being collected in volumes presented at Comiket. Kadokawa began its digital
distribution on ComicWalker in March 2022, and the eighth
volume is scheduled for June 23. Yen Press publishes the
series in English, with the third volume also scheduled for the same date. The
story follows two brothers who get lost in a dark and forbidden forest during a
storm, and there they encounter a long and sinister shadow that turns out to
be Dara-san, a terrifying-looking goddess of misfortune who, once
you meet her, is quite a bit less intimidating than she appears. The series
plays with that tension between visual horror and humor that arises from living
with a supernatural being that is simply not as scary as it should be.
