Throwing for your favorite waifu and being left empty-handed after spending thousands of gems is any player's worst nightmare. To try to solve this headache, the famous mobile video game Blue Archive announced a total reform of its student recruitment system. However, the sudden way in which the news was presented generated so much confusion that the general producer of the title himself, Kim Yong-ha, had to publicly apologize to fans.

The major update, which comes into effect after the maintenance on July 29, permanently removes the permanent standard draft and the old points system to implement the new call charge mechanism. From now on, each roll adds a counter that doesn't reset between different promotions until you get the outstanding student. When you reach one hundred attempts, the gacha guarantees you a three-star character with a 50% chance that it will be the girl in the banner, while when you reach two hundred rolls the promotional student is 100% secured in your hands.

Although the intention of the development team was to reduce the stress of users by accumulating the progress of rolls and giving away tickets of ten recruits for goals achieved, the warning came practically a day after being implemented. Kim Yong-ha acknowledged that the lack of anticipation led to distrust in the community, admitting that prior communication was totally lacking. The producer promised that from now on they will prioritize the stability of the service and give warnings much more calmly to regain the credibility of their followers.

Considering that keeping the roll counter between different banners is something that many mobile game players could only dream of
