Japan's undeniable fascination with the railway
system has just added a new gem to its catalogue. The production
committee behind the original anime Tetsuryo! meet with
Tetsudo Musume released a spectacular second promotional video to
officially confirm that this curious proposal will land on Japanese television
during the coveted October season. As if that were not enough,
the trailer gave us a taste of the closing theme "Watashi Miraisen",
performed by the idol group Tetsuryo Club, which is made up of the four main
actresses of the series.
For those who live under a rock and don't know
about this successful multimedia franchise, the concept was born
from a huge project launched by TOMYTEC in 2005, which is dedicated to creating
charming fictional girls working in real uniforms in different railway
companies throughout Japan. The animated plot will closely follow four
university students who form a school club to travel the country meeting these
emblematic employees. To ensure the technical quality of this trip, East
Fish Studio left the general direction in the hands of Misuzu
Hoshino, while the scripts and narrative structure are being directly
supervised by Aya Satsuki. All this adorned with the
impeccable character designs of illustrator Hisanori
Hashimoto.
