occurred on the night of March 26. On that tragic day, Moe Harukawa, a
twenty-one-year-old part-time employee, was brutally stabbed inside the
establishment by her ex-partner, twenty-six-year-old Taiki Hirokawa, who
subsequently took her own life at the scene. The authorities confirmed that the
victim had previously reported the aggressor for harassment, which led to past
arrests that unfortunately failed to prevent the tragedy. The emotional impact
on the workers and logistics of the place forced a complete halt to any
commercial operation for months.
According to the statement issued by the
company, the facilities of the venue have undergone structural remodeling and a
thorough review of its protocols. The main objective of these months of work
has been to implement strict safeguarding measures to guarantee the integrity
of the staff and offer a space where fans can return with complete peace of
mind. To avoid massive crowds in the first days of reopening, access
restrictions will be maintained, whose reservation or entry system will be
announced later. In addition, it was confirmed that the store will not
participate in any of the promotional campaigns or special events in August
scheduled for the other branches in the country.
