Returning
to the streets of Night City always means running the risk of ending up
destroyed, but the temptation to immerse yourself in its neon chaos again is
simply irresistible. The long-awaited second season of Cyberpunk:
Edgerunners presented a shocking promotional trailer, revealing that
its ten new episodes will arrive exclusively in the Netflix catalog
on October 20.
This new
installment will not try to revive ghosts of the past, but will present us with
a self-conclusive story of ten chapters focused on a crude chronicle of
redemption and revenge in the midst of the blinding spectacle of the
metropolis. The direction of this sequel will mark the debut of the talented
Kai Ikarashi as lead director, with the return of Bartosz Sztybor in production
and Masahiko Otsuka in writing the scripts, while Ichigo Kanno took over the
design of the new characters. The music will once again be a true work of art,
including rapper Rico Nasty's "YOU CAN'T RUN FROM ME" in the trailer,
as well as The Cure's 1978 classic "10:15 Saturday Night" as the
opening theme and Petite Meller's "Watson" as the closing theme.
