The
undisputed king of romantic comedy and ecchi is back to claim
his throne at the top of the genre. If you're one of those who grew up revering
its iconic waifus, the legendary manga To Love-Ru announced
the release of a special volume titled To Love-Ru Parade, scheduled
to hit stores on October 2 as part of the celebrations for the 20th anniversary
of the work.
This new
compilation volume will bring together for the first time several
self-contained chapters and side stories that have never been published in
print book format, encompassing exclusive content from both the original
installment and its acclaimed sequel, To LOVEru DARKNESS. As
if that were not enough, the official magazine simultaneously launched a new
special chapter of 25 pages completely unpublished, prepared by the legendary
creative duo formed by screenwriter Saki Hasemi and master
illustrator Kentaro Yabuki, commemorating two decades since the
franchise began publication in 2006.
The
franchise has a monumental trajectory within the anime and
manga industry. The first series debuted in 2006 accumulating a total of 18
compilation volumes, while its direct sequel was published between 2010 and
March 2017, also reaching 18 volumes. Both works served as inspiration for
multiple seasons of animated television adaptation and a vast
collection of OVAs that marked an entire generation of fans of romance and
fanservice. The arrival of this commemorative tome shows that, twenty years
after their birth, the spark of their unforgettable heroines is still as alive
as the first day.
Knowing
that Kentaro Yabuki and Saki Hasemi worked together again to commemorate this
20th anniversary,
