The Japanese Broadcasting Critics Association announced that the anime adaptation of Sumito Ōwara's manga, Eizouken ni wa Te wo Dasu na! won one of four Galaxy Awards for the month of March.
Since 1963, the Galaxy Awards have recognized relevant and important programs with the aim of improving the quality of broadcasting culture in Japan. Since the anime earned a monthly award, it will also be a candidate for the annual award.
Ōwara launched the manga in Shogakukan publisher Gekkan Spirits magazine in 2016, and the publisher published the fourth compilation volume on May 10. The work inspired the now award-winning twelve-episode anime adaptation released on January 5 and produced by Science SARU studios.
In addition, the manga is also inspiring a six-episode live-action television series that premiered on April 5; as well as a live-action film that was scheduled to be released on May 15, but that due to the current health situation that Japan is going through, it was decided to delay its release indefinitely.
