What season anime could be saved from suspension?

In the face of the Coronavirus pandemic, it is undeniable that anime streaming platforms in Japan have experienced increasing demand in recent days. Netflix is one of those platforms and it currently appears to be taking safe steps with the Ghost in the Shell: SAC_2045 release scheduled for April 23.

Actually, when visiting his Twitter account (@NetflixJP_Anime) one can realize that a large part of the recent posts are from this release. Furthermore, it is confirmed that all twelve episodes will be released simultaneously on the same day.

This raises the following question: Does Netflix only take series whose production is already finished? The question suggests an affirmative answer remembering that the original anime Brand New Animal released six episodes long before its premiere, but it is also denied knowing that four of the series that Netflix Japan aired have suspended their broadcast, the latter being Appare-Ranman! Fugou Keiji Balance: Unlimited, Shokugeki no Souma: Gou no Sara, and Digimon Adventure (2020).

Although there are some exceptions, it cannot be denied that most of the series that Netflix Japan is broadcasting have not announced an indefinite suspension of their broadcast, could it be that, in fact, they will not be suspended? The theory that Netflix Japan works mostly with series that have already finished their production is strengthened knowing that in its catalog is the second season of Honzuki no Gekokujou, of which its director confirmed earlier this month that his production has already was finished.

Current catalog of Netflix Japan

Be that as it may, it will be time that confirms or denies these assumptions, however, it is worth mentioning which are the anime currently being broadcast on Netflix Japan:

Ahiru no Sora.
