A Japanese YouTuber identified by the username "Tarue Totsugeki" announced that he will challenge 1,000 karate strokes a day until Toshihiro Togashi resumes the Hunter x Hunter manga.
On his channel, the user promises "a thousand grateful tsuki seiken," a basic karate hit also known simply as "seiken," until the Hunter x Hunter manga resumes serialization, or at least a new chapter is released.
The idea of performing a thousand punches to show gratitude comes, of course, from the pages of the manga, where Isaac Netero performs 10,000 seiken a day as training.
The YouTuber has been broadcasting his seiken sessions live for the past four months, getting over 123 videos as of the date of this article. On a recent day, social media began to notice Tarue Totsugeki's efforts and visits to his videos, which at the beginning were in the few hundred, now exceed twenty thousand.
On May 18, the user posted via Twitter: “Thank you all for your support. I would like to continue this until Hunter x Hunter returns. ”

On the other hand, the manga already has a long history of breaks without definite duration, and the most recent chapter was published in December 2018. Will Tarue Totsugeki's tactic be able to touch Togashi's heart?
