In the June issue of Shogakukan's Big Comic Zokan magazine, it was revealed that author Seizou Watase will release a new manga titled Natsuno no Kyou in the magazine's August issue on July 17.
The story will focus on Natsuno, a woman who has the ability to listen to people's music. She aspires to become a violinist, but is forced to inherit her family's tea shop in Kyoto when her mother passes away.
About Seizou Watase
Born in Hyogo Prefecture in 1945, he has been an illustrator for numerous projects, books, and other works, and is widely recognized for his romantic drama manga, Heart Cocktail, which sold over five million copies.
The author won the Shogakukan Big Comic Prize in its 1974 edition. In 1987 he also received the Bungeishunjuu Manga Award for his work Shiritsu Tantei Phillip.
In addition to his exhibitions in Japan, Watase held his largest exhibition in the United States in Los Angeles, California in 1998. He has recently written the Botchibon manga in 2007, Heart Station in 2006, Tokyo Blue in 2005, Edo Koi Mo You in 2003, among others.
