The
renowned anime Boku no Kokoro no Yabai Yatsu (also known
as BokuYaba) is preparing its arrival on the big screen. TV
Asahi revealed a new visual and teaser
trailer for the upcoming compilation film titled The Dangers
in My Heart: The Movie, which is scheduled to be released on
February 13, 2026 in theaters in Japan.
New
content and continuation after the end
In addition
to summarizing the events of the series, the film will include unpublished
scenes and will show moments after the outcome of the
second season, focused on the evolution of the relationship between Kyōtarō
Ichikawa and Anna Yamada. This addition has raised the
expectations of fans who are looking for a more complete closure to this
endearing story.
Early
Bird at Anime Expo 2025
As a
prelude to the premiere, the film will be screened in an exclusive
preview during the Anime Expo in Los Angeles,
on July 4 at 05:00 (Spanish time), in the JW Diamond panel
room. The event will be attended by director Hiroaki Akagi and
producers Yosuke Sakurai and Kazuki Endo, who will
share details of the production process.
The anime's
first season aired in April 2023 through TV Asahi's
"NUMAnimation" block, and it aired globally on HIDIVE. The second
season arrived in January 2024 and was also available with English
dubbing. Norio Sakurai's original manga, which gave rise
to the animated adaptation, began publication in March 2018 and to date has
more than 12 compilation volumes.
Expansion
of the great BokuYaba universe
The
universe of BokuYaba continues to expand. An animated
miniseries based on the spin-off manga Twi-Jaba was released
in December 2023. It has also been confirmed that a new spin-off titled Boku
no Kokoro no Yabai Yatsu: Love Comedy ga Hajimaranai will be launched
on July 22, focusing on Kana Ichikawa, Kyōtarō's older
sister.
The
franchise not only maintains its popularity among readers and viewers, but also
consolidates itself as one of the most beloved romantic stories of recent
years. With this film, fans will have a new opportunity to get excited about
the relationship between Kyōtarō and Anna.
