A collaborative illustration with the movie Promare was posted on the official Twitter account for the original Trigger studios anime, Brand New Animal.
The Promare film is an animated feature film co-produced by Trigger and XFLAG studios, released in May 2019. The film was directed by Hiroyuki Imaishi and written by Kazuki Nakashima, who had previously worked together on the Tengen Toppa series Gurren Lagann in 2007 and Kill la Kill in 2013, with Nakashima and Trigger credited with the original project.
For its part, Brand New Animal is an original anime whose first six episodes premiered exclusively in Japan through Netflix on March 21 and which released the following six on May 6. Subsequently, the series officially premiered on April 8 on Japanese television and airs a new episode weekly.
