Many projects are on hiatus due to the coronavirus pandemic, and one of the most painful is the postponement of the live-action adaptation of the Metal Gear video game series, by director Jordan Voght-Roberts.
However, in order to keep fans in a good mood during these difficult times, the filmmaker published this ingenious tweet with a video that the most veteran will know how to appreciate:
David Hayter, Paul Widing, and Christopher Randolph, reinterpreting Snake, the Colonel, and Otakon! This tribute to the codec of the saga did not provide any news about the adaptation, but it did entertain a moment and took advantage of the quarantine theme to give a couple of good tips to gamers.I wish I could share more frequent updates on the film adaptation of @HIDEO_KOJIMA_EN’s seminal METAL GEAR SOLID...— Jordan Vogt-Roberts (@VogtRoberts) May 12, 2020
But❗️I can share this codec from the legends @DavidBHayter, @4pauleiding & @christophran as we celebrate MGS and try to make the world whole again.#MGSQUARANTINE pic.twitter.com/6AE9qLL74v
Snake? Snaaaaake!
Something that caught the eye was that Jordan Voght-Roberts mentions Hideo Kojima in his tweet, and at the end of the video we can see the old “HIDEO” joke. Could it be that he will participate in the adaptation more than is expected, perhaps already made the graces with Konami?
