Editorial Shueisha announced that the Koyoharu Gotouge manga Kimetsu no Yaiba will have a third novel titled Kimetsu no Yaiba: Kaze no Michishirube. The short story will focus on the Pillar of the Wind, Sanemi Shinazugawa. The publisher will publish the novel on July 3.

On the other hand, the previous two novels, Shiawase no Hana and Kataha no Chou, are Shueisha's novels that have reached the million copies in circulation the fastest. The novels sold a combined total of 1.16 million copies in February alone. Shiawase no Hana was released in February 2019 while Kataha no Chou was released in October 2019.

The manga, meanwhile, now has more than 60 million copies in circulation with the release of its twentieth volume, which added 2.8 million copies of its initial print run.

On the other hand, Gotouge began publishing the manga in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine in February 2016. The publisher will publish the 20th compilation volume on May 13. In addition, the work will end in chapter # 205.

The play inspired a 26-episode anime adaptation released in April 2019, and produced by Ufotable Studios. Additionally, the film Kimetsu no Yaiba: Mugen Ressha-hen is confirmed, which will adapt the "Arc of the Infinite Train" and will be released on October 16.
