Previously, the names of the first five protagonists in the story had been revealed.
The names of the protagonists, from left to right are: Chisato Arashi, Sumire Heanna, Kanon Shibuya, Tan Kuku and Ren Hazuki.
The project will be spearheaded by renowned creative collective Hajime Yatate . The original concept of the project is the idea of Sakurako Kimino . Naohiko Kyogoku , who previously was in charge of directing the animated project Love Live! School Idol Music will direct the series at Sunrise Studios .
Jukki Hanada ( Love Live! Sunshine !! ) will be in charge of writing the scripts. On the other hand, Atsushi Saito ( Black Fox ) will be in charge of designing the characters. Yoshiaki Fujisawa also returns from the first animated project as a composer for music.
The franchise had scheduled a round of auditions to give life to one of the protagonists of the series on March 12, but they had to be postponed due to the pandemic situation in Japan.
