About Maaya Uchida
Es is a Japanese voice actress and singer who works for the talent agency I’m Enterprise. She won the Best Newcomer Actress Award at the eighth installment of the Seiyuu Awards. She debuted as a singer under the Pony Canyon label with the song Soushou no Innocence, produced by Tomita Akihiro.
She is recognized for having played the characters of Rikka Takanashi in Chuunibyou Demo Koi ga Shitai, Kaguya Imai in Date A Live, Rui Tachibana in Domestic na Kanojo, and more recently, as Katarina Claes in the anime My Next Life as a Villainess.
My Next Life as a Villainess (Hamefura) adapts the series of light novels written by Satoru Yamaguchi and illustrated by Nami Hidaka, which have been published since July 2014 online and since August 2015 through the publisher Ichijinsha. The anime is produced by Silver Link studios and has been broadcast since April 4. The story centers on Catarina Claes, a noblewoman who, by hitting her head, remembers her entire past life and realizes that she is inside the world of an otome game, in which she is the villain.
