On the official YouTube channel of singer and songwriter Nagi Yanagi, a music video for her twenty-first single titled “Megumi no Ame” was released, which will be used as the opening theme song for the third season of the anime adaptation of Yahari Ore no Seishun Love Comedy wa Machigatteiru light novels (abbreviated as Oregairu).

Yanagi also participated by providing the opening theme for the previous two seasons, specifically “Yukitoki” for the first season in 2013 and “Harumodoki” in 2015. The artist commented on Twitter: “There are a lot of elements of my previous songs hidden in the music video, pay close attention! " On the other hand, her twenty-first single was planned to be released in Japan on May 13, but this was postponed until July 15 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
For its part, the series will premiere in Japan on June 9, after being delayed from its original date in April due to the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on production. Watari began publishing Oregairu light novels with illustrations by Ponkan8 in 2011. The series ended with the fourteenth volume, published in November 2019.

Synopsis of Oregairu

The romantic comedy revolves around a rather antisocial high school student named Hachiman Hikigaya, who has a distorted view of life, apart from having no friends, much less a girlfriend. When he sees his classmates cheerfully talking about their teenage lives, he mutters that they are all a bunch of liars. When asked about his dreams for the future, his answer is "don't work." A teacher, however, manages to enroll Hachiman in the volunteer club, to which it turns out that the prettiest girl in the institute, Yukino Yukinoshita, is also enrolled.
