The Aqours group celebrates its fifth anniversary with multiple announcements

Through a special broadcast, the Love Live! Franchise shared various statements regarding the celebration of the fifth anniversary of the group Aqours, of the project Love Live! Sunshine !!.

The multimedia project staff will begin publishing videos of the group's live performances starting on June 30 through the franchise's official YouTube channel, in the following order:

  • MIRAI TICKET.
  • "Sunshine Pikkapika Ondo".
  • "WATER BLUE NEW WORLD".
  • "Kiseki Hikaru".

During the broadcast, the cover and title of the representative musical theme of the "Aqours CLUB 2020", to be titled "JIMO-AI Dash!" Were revealed.
The cover of the CD "Takami Chika First Solo Concert" was also revealed, which will be released on August 1 in Japan and will include a new song performed solo by Chika Takami, and titled "Never giving up!". In addition, the first batch (limited to certain stores) will include a box in which the nine solo CDs that are planned for each member can be stored.
During the statement, the launch of the Blu-ray version of “Aqours CHRONICLE (2015 ~ 2017)” for October 7 was revealed, which in addition to the 45 songs shown, will also include the animations of the first three singles as well as of the songs that appeared in the two seasons of Love Live! Sunshine !!.
The franchise announced the broadcast of a series of special broadcasts of the “Love Live! All Night Nippon GOLD Series, ”starting July 24 at 10:00 p.m. (Japan Standard Time), with voice actress Ai Furihata (voiced by Ruby Kurosawa) and with special guests.
The launch of some special products was also announced to commemorate Aqours' fifth anniversary, which will be launched on June 30 through the franchise's official store.
Additionally, there will be two special editions of Love Live! Days in commemoration of this anniversary, which will be titled “Aqours Special”. The magazine is distributed by the Kadokawa publishing house and these two editions are planned for this fall / winter.
The results of the second edition of the duets / trio for the members have also been revealed, which have been formed as follows:

  • Riko Sakurachi & You Watanabe.
  • Kanan Matsura & Mari Ohara.
  • Hanamaru Kunikida & Ruby Kurosawa.
  • Chika Takami & Dia Kurosawa & Yoshiko Tsushima.
Fans will be able to vote between June 30 and July 12 to decide the names of each duo / trio. These sub-groups will perform new songs for the CD "Love Live! Sunshine !! Duo / Trio Collection CD Vol. 2 WINTER VACATION ”, which will be released on December 9th.
Furthermore, the smartphone game Love Live! School Idol Festival will kick off a special campaign for the group's fifth anniversary, with bonuses for logging in daily starting June 30 at 4:00 p.m. (Japan Standard Time). In addition, the next UR duo (UltraRare) will be Kanan & Mari starting on July 15.
Finally, the stuffed whale that stars in the sixth broadcast and that will accompany the group on their next tour has been named "Poepoe", after a vote by fans.
