In the publication of the twentieth volume of the light novel series written by Hiro Ainana and illustrated by Shri, Death March kara Hajimaru Isekai Kyousoukyoku, it was reported that the printed version will have a different ending than the one presented in the web novels, which ended in March this year.


Ainana began publishing the light novels on the Shousetsuka ni Narou website in March 2013. Subsequently, the Fujimi Shobo publisher began its paper publication with illustrations by Shri in March 2014. The publisher published the twentieth volume on July 10. .

The play inspired a twelve-episode anime adaptation produced by Silver Link Studios, directed by Shin Oonuma and written by Kento Shimoyama, released in January 2018.

Synopsis of Death March kara Hajimaru Isekai Kyousoukyoku

Suzuki Ichirou is a twenty-nine year old programmer who is transported to a fantasy RPG. Inside the game his name is Satou and he is fifteen years old. At first he thinks he is dreaming, but his experiences seem very real. Thanks to his powerful limited use ability, he manages to defeat an army of lizardmen and becomes a high level adventurer. Satou decides to hide his level, and live in peace meeting new people. However, events in the game's history, such as the return of a demon king, spoil Satou's plans.
