Honzuki no Gekokujou anime will have a third season

Through the official Twitter account for the anime adaptation of the light novels Honzuki no Gekokujou: Shisho ni Naru Tame ni wa Shudan wo Erandeiraremasen, which are written by Miya Kazuki and illustrated by You Shiina, it was revealed that the series will feature with a third season. The release date and the production team that will work on this new installment will be announced soon.


The novels began to be published in 2013 through the Shosetsuka ni Naro website. Subsequently, its rights were acquired by the publisher TO Books in 2015 and in 2017 the series came to an end with a total of 22 published volumes.

A manga adaptation of the first part featuring Suzuka's art was serialized online via the Niconico Seiga website between October 2015 and July 2018. The manga featured seven compilation volumes published by TO Books.

The novels were adapted for anime in 2019 under the production of Ajia-do Animation Works studios. Subsequently, the series featured a second season aired during the spring of 2020.


Synopsis of Honzuki no Gekokujou

Motosu Urano, a book-loving college student who recently earned her certification as a librarian and was supposed to start her dream job after graduation, dies in an earthquake by being crushed under her massive collection of books.

Her goal now will be to become a librarian no matter what, and to live a life surrounded by books, but this time, crafting them herself.
