Sword Art Online: Alicization - War of Underworld to Stream with ReoNa

On the official website for the animated Sword Art Online franchise, it was announced that, commemorating the release of the single “ANIMA” performed by ReoNa on July 22, a special broadcast will be held on July 21 at 8:00 p.m. ( Japan Standard Time), entitled “« ANIMA »Hatsubai Zenya ReoNa × SAO Raibu SP Tokuban in ABEMA”, through the ABEMA platform.
In addition to the live performance to be performed on the theme song, the broadcast will also include an interview with producer Masaki Niwa, and Sword Art Online: Alicization Lycoris producer Yosuke Futami. It should be noted that the theme "ANIMA" is being used as the opening theme for the second part of Sword Art Online: Alicization - War of Underworld.

For its part, the series premiered on July 11 in Japan. Sword Art Online: Alicization is an adaptation of the "Arc Alicization" from the Reki Kawahara series of light novels that will air for a total of four arches. "War of Underworld" aired the first 12 aired in the first part released in October 2019.

Reki Kawahara started publishing the novels independently in 2002, and subsequently published it through the Kadokawa publishing house in April 2009, with 23 volumes to date. The franchise is one of the most successful light novel series in Japan, considered the light novel of the decade by fans.

Kirito suddenly wakes up in a vast and fantastic forest full of towering trees. In his search for clues that indicate where he is, he runs into a boy who seems to know him. It seems to be a simple NPC, but its conversation and depth show that it could be a human. As they search together for the boy's parents, a memory begins to echo in his head, a memory of his own childhood, where this boy and another girl appear, who also has golden hair and a name that he should never have forgotten: Alice.
