In this year's 9th issue of Shogakukan publisher's Gessan magazine it was announced that the manga written and illustrated by Mitsuru Adachi, Mix, will resume in the magazine's 11th issue on October 12.
The manga had been on indefinite hiatus since May due to the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, which prevented Adachi from working together with his assistants. For his part, Adachi began publishing the manga in Shogakukan publisher's Gessan magazine since 2012 as a sequel to the Touch manga. The publisher published the 16th compiled volume on February 12.
The play inspired a 24-episode anime adaptation produced by Oriental Light and Magic Studios (OLM) under the direction of Odahiro Watanabe and scripts written by Kouji Nagai, released in April 2019.
Mix Synopsis
The story is set in the same Meisei Gakuen preparatory school, scene of the Touch manga, but set chronologically 26 years later. Like the aforementioned manga, Mix revolves around two brothers and baseball as the main theme, as well as the effects of the latter on their relationship and future.
