On the official site for the webtoon adaptation of the novel series written by Chugong, Solo Leveling, by Jang Sung-rak, it was reported that the promotional video for the "second season" of the serialization has surpassed 10 million views. in Youtube.


Additionally, the series was also reported to have reached 4.3 billion views and has already surpassed 5 million readers in South Korea alone. It is worth mentioning that, earlier this week, Hyun-soo Hwang, the CEO of Noble Comics Company, revealed during an interview that there are plans to adapt this franchise to other media such as video games, live-action series and anime. For his part, Chugong has been publishing the novels digitally since July 2016, and since then it has been published through different publishers.

A webtoon adaptation has been published since March 2018 through KakaoPage by Jang Sung-rak. The first season of this webtoon ended on March 19, 2020, and the second began on August 1. To date, a total of three compilation volumes have been published.

Solo Leveling Synopsis

Since a portal appeared that connects our world to another full of monsters and creatures of all kinds, some people have acquired powers and the ability to hunt them, obtaining the name of hunters. The protagonist, Sung Jin-woo, is the weakest of the E rank hunters and barely stronger than a normal human.

He is nicknamed by his fellow hunters as "the weakest". One day, he and others find themselves trapped in an extremely dangerous dungeon, with only a few surviving and managing to escape. Sung Jin-woo himself barely survives and is the only one who completes all the tests in this dungeon, becoming a "player", and can now see an interface that shows him missions, statistics, inventory, stores and levels.
