NieR Re [in] carnation smartphone game reveals new trailer

The Square Enix company published a promotional video for NieR Re [in] carnation, the first smartphone game in the NieR franchise, during the Tokyo Game Show 2020 Online event. The company added that the delivery will be launched in North America and Europe.


The role-playing game for iOS and Android devices will be released for free, with an internal store. Square Enix is ​​producing the game while Applibot is developing it and CyDesignation is doing the character designs.

About NieR

Now-defunct Japanese developer Cavia (Drakengard, Resident Evil: The Darkside Chronicles) developed the original game as a spin-off of Drakengard in 2010. Square Enix released the game on two different consoles, with NieR Gestalt released for the Xbox 360. and NieR Replicant released for the PlayStation 3. The latter featured minor changes to the plot and design of the protagonist.


Finally, NieR: Automata was a sequel released for the PlayStation 4 console in Japan in February 2017, followed by a North American and European release in March 2017. Square Enix also released the game for PC via Steam in March 2017, and on Xbox One in June 2018. Its combined physical and digital sales exceeded 4.5 million units.
