New cast members for the upcoming OVA of the anime based on the manga written and illustrated by Tadahiro Miura, Yuragi-sou no Yuuna-san, were revealed in this year's 42nd issue of Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine.
- Honoka Inoue as Hibari Ameno.
- Sora Amamiya as Karura Hiougi.
- Natsumi Fujiwara as Matora Mikogami.
- Miu Tomita as Shion Todoroki.
- Nanami Yamashita as Miria Katsuragi.
The OVA will be released in Blu-ray format in conjunction with the manga's twenty-fourth and final compiled volume on December 4. The Blu-ray will include two episodes titled "Noroware no Kogarashi" (adapting chapter 99) and "Giri Giri !? Onsen Happening ”(adapting chapter 141).
Miura published the manga in Shueisha publisher's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine from February 2016 to July 2020. The publisher published the 22nd compiled volume on June 4. Additionally, the twenty-fourth compiled volume will include a new OVA.
The play inspired a twelve-episode anime adaptation, produced by Xebec Studios, under the direction of Tsuyoshi Nagasawa and scripts written by Hideaki Koyasu, released in July 2018.
Synopsis of Yuragi-sou no Yuuna-san
The story follows the life of Kogarashi Fuyuzora, a homeless high school student who has had quite a bit of bad luck throughout his life. In his search for refuge, he discovers a cheap hostel with hot springs known as the “Yuragi-sou”. The reason why the rent is quite cheap is because it is inhabited by the beautiful ghost, Yuuna, whose body was discovered inside the hostel. Kogarashi then helps Yuuna fulfill his unfinished business, while discovering the supernatural secrets of the rest of the tenants.
