The author Tomo Takeuchi announced through her Twitter account that the Ballroom e Youkoso manga will not have a new chapter in this year's eleventh issue of Kodansha's Monthly Shonen Magazine, on October 6.

Takeuchi explained that the hiatus is due to the implementation of a new work system and the replacement of her assistants, which delayed the writing process. The author plans to resume the manga as normal from November of this year.

The manga experienced a major hiatus between December 2017 and July 2019 due to a decline in the author's health. Finally, the work resumed its normal publication, after other pauses, in July of this year. Takeuchi began publishing the manga in Kodansha publisher's Monthly Shonen Magazine in 2011. The publisher published the tenth compiled volume on January 17.

The play inspired a 24-episode anime adaptation produced by Production I.G studios, directed by Yoshimi Itazu and scripts written by Kenichi Suemitsu, released in July 2017.

Ballroom e Youkoso Synopsis

Wacky high school student Tatara Fujita wants to be good at something, anything. Unfortunately, he is as average as any lazy teenager could be. The bullies at his school know this, and they have a habit of beating him to take his money, but everything changes when the elegant Kaname Sengoku takes care of them.

Sengoku is not a vigilante, much less a protector of the weak, he is a professional ballroom dancer. And once Tatara is thrust into the world of ballroom dancing, his life will change completely.
